Flooded acres question ?????

NE of Regina...some done but many with 10% - 20% yet to go (probably canola/HRS). 2" in April since Easter, 3.7" in May and we were wet (other than topsoil) going into spring as all low spots were full. Creek is running faster now than during melt. My guess is better than 2010 but worse than 2011. We are losing acres (5%) as water seeps from one pot hole to the next. Need heat right away or those areas will be lost.

FWIW, Sask Ag says as of May 21 that 64% of crop seeded, compared to 23% last year and 44% for 5 yr average.

It depends on your crop insurance coverage for
Canola. Some are guaranteed big bucks, all they
need is germination.
