    ColevilleH2O,,,,"The plane boss, The plane !!!", a plane would've made you money. Deep ruts are hellish and will take a great deal of time and work to remove from your field, let alone risk of damaging your equipment.
    Even if the plane had to stay back from the headlands(because of neighouring crops), you would've only had to make a pass or two aroud the outside. Also take into account crop loss due to ruts and turns. Pipelines are a pain in the a$$, deep ruts aren't much different when you're direct seeding, except pipeline pay a little something.

            Instead of all this research into canaryseed, I'd
            put my money on someone developing short
            season prairie rice. Huge- gigantic international
            market, no advertising required.
