Even if the plane had to stay back from the headlands(because of neighouring crops), you would've only had to make a pass or two aroud the outside. Also take into account crop loss due to ruts and turns. Pipelines are a pain in the a$$, deep ruts aren't much different when you're direct seeding, except pipeline pay a little something.
