Why are we always so quick to point the finger and hope/cheer for someone else's demise or failure? What is stopping any of us from expanding or contracting or retiring or thinking outside the box? When we see something we don't like or don't understand we look for someone to blame. What would the tone be if One Earth (or any company/farm) turned massive profits?

Digger our point in all this is on paper everything
works in reality it doesn't. You can't farm in
canada the whole province from Toronto!

Here are some reasons why suits can't farm from Toronto or Regina for that matter.

        1. Service reps from dealership come to fix drill and forget to open the slides they closed on the drill. Farmer reseeds 80 acres, employee says its done.

        2. Employee forgets to close lid on drill, tells farmer there is something wrong with drill. Farmer reseeds 100 acres, employee says its done.

        3. Employee drives into slough fascinated with technology and big tires. Farmer pulls him out, wasting more time.

Etc. etc. Plenty of losses I caught this year but will a suit figure it out?

Also it's not Brazill where you might f@&$$up
seeding and still have time to redo.

            Digger,
Farming without consequence when using someone's money makes One Earth's financial woes sweet for some. When a typical farmer has to agonize over every decision that may jepardize their life's work if not done correctly, having someone across the fenceline farm half assed be insulated from the ramifications of their actions due to unlimited funds would make any farmer rejoice in their public hardship!

Black powder I am barking right beside you! The
farm aspect to Sprott resources is a front to gain
access to the oil, gas, and potash. I regard it as a
loss leader. They will sign up with the nations,
gain their trust and then, together they will be
                extremely profitable with the important
                commodities.
The fact of the matter is, that, the general public
could care less about agriculture, we are really
not that important, but when you start talking
about oil, potash and uranium development,
everybody listens. Thousands of people get jobs,
start service businesses, think of all the property
taxes, personal and corporate income taxes
generated, GST revenues, Waaaay more money
than a bunch of shrewd self centered dirt
                scratchers!

Until the natives get screwed on their share and set up road blocks and then refuse to let sprotresorces anywhere near their land until they get very well compensated. It will happen mark my words. Right after the first nations refuse to farm until they get the lions share from the one earth farm operation which of course will bet a negative net return. Not wishing bad luck, they do not bother me or my farm, but the writting is on the wall bright and colorfull.
As far as the resorces go sprot will not be able to touch one ac of dirt or for thet matter anything under treaty land(oil, gas, pot) without major revenue compensation to the first nations - which it should be. ... Time will tell. They may be fine but there are sooo many red flags on this i would be very impressed if it works out.

I've listened to everything Eric Sprott has said or written for the past 6-
                    7 years,maybe longer?

One earth is a small part sprott resource, which is publicly traded,scp-t.

                    http://sprottresource.com/company-profile.aspx

You can own a small part of it,which probably makes some puke in
                    their mouth.

Eric is the last one to say that his margins will ever beat the family
                    farm's.

He is an example of a group of people, including myself, that resources
are undervalued another example is Jim Rodgers.

Why there is so much animosity towards two titans who are standing up
and saying "farming is important, farming is valuable",from farmers is
                    incredibly baffling to me.

And the word for enjoying others suffering is,shadenfreude.

Hey i think that thet it's great that they know that farming has a bright future for some, I just think that this marage will not work out. Nothing against either side. Just that the reality of farming is unknown to bolth sides, thats all. Maybe all the money in the world will make it work, i duno, time will tell. Cotton do you live besides any first nations? We have 12 in a 30 mile radius - just speaking from experience is all through one small window.

I don't really have a problem with Sprott Resources either.
                          Anything that utilizes underdeveloped resources.
Heard OEF was offering $100/ac rent in our area this spring. 1 yr, canola only. Hadn't heard if any takers.
