Sorry to hear that Klause. How the heck
are you doing!!!????
How is your stuff out here in sask? I
went for a long extensive look last
night. Unless a miracle happens, it will
be a banner crop insurance year yet
again. Saturated soil, thinning crops. I
would say 25-35% is out and out drowned.
That alone is a big yield reduction.
Probably another 25% is suffering
visibly. Another 20% I presume is
invisible suffering right now, leaving,
what? 20-30% that is half normal?
Sickening.
Hope your doing alright, good to see you
on here!

we are not there yet , but we are working on it.
how much and how widespread.
when you plow that much money into it.
not a good feeling
looks like Rosetown is getting it now.
they have to be hurting there too.
forecast here for 10-20 mil today
on some land had another .7 to ?.
with hail yesterday. (afraid to ask or go look ) on top of 2.9 on top of 2.4, on top of the normal rains before last week.
the rest is about an inch behind
kind of a local thing around here.
some one else can have some 2 inchers for a week or two

Sask, how is your dual kit working out?
Do you just add a set of narrows to the back?
Would you could you do this on a 4710?

Its a kit I got from Greentrac. Bolt on
adapter to floater tires. Then bolt on
your incrop skinny tires, drop air
pressure to 25 and increase floater tire
air pressure to I think 44. Havent been
stuck since. Have to slow down for water
and corners its a huge rototiller. But man
can it go through stuff. Move the fronts
to 144 on slide and backs right in. Then
the front runs between the duals.

The Red River Valley is not all fine. North of the #2 highway it is wet. South of is better. Some areas the yield will be capped at the next heat wave when we start seeing dieback from all the water. Crops are yellowing north of Winnipeg, and directly west. Beans are comming down with iron chlorosis. It will still be a better crop than either 2010 or 2011 though, but that is not saying much. Most of my neighbours are cash broke, and it is time, right now, to quit raining. By the way, it is sprinkling right now. It just won't quit.
This is the view from 25 miles west of Portage and Main.
