2 nights ago noticed the odd stripped pod, but couldnt find what was eating them. Tonight 30-50% of plants have the top 3-6 pods stripped. Couldn't find the bastards but waded in 75 feet or so and there they were. Never seen them before and have been growing canola since 1992. Ugly brownie black worms bout 1.5 inches long slithering and chewing on pods. Saw maybe 15-20 of them within a 8 foot radius of where i was standing. No planes available for tomorrow so will go in with the tridekon crop dividers with Lorsban?? What rate?? Do they only come up to feed in the evening?? So many questions.

Evening is the best or spray all night. 25 ac a jug will kill the buggers. Don't wait any longer. Big ones like that can eat alot. In my experience spraying Lorsban during the day will still kill them just don't go out there for 3 days. Good luck and wear a respirator when filling.

Had lots of experience with worms. All the chemicals work ok if their up on the plants, however if your spraying later in the morning use a chemical that has residule. Lorsban has 2 modes of action.
