After walking field after field
yesterday it will be a average crop out
our way.
Canola has issue's, HRS has issue's
Durum has issue"s Barley has issue"s and
Peas. Oats hit it right on!
One conclusion the three of us came up
with is we could have sprayed every
other day this year and came up with the
same results. Test strips and what we
sprayed very little difference in our
area. Seems now that the leaf hopper bug
did some things to the HRS and is
causing concern. Again nothing we could
have done to correct it.
Same story I am hearing all over
saskatchewan. Its just one of those
years where mother nature runs the show
and no matter how much money you throw
at it she always wins.
Funny Vitterra was short prosario seems
all was in the SW part of saskatchewan
being used. DAH fursarium is in eastern
Sask and should have been shipped their.
So as august 1st arrives with much fan
fare for marketing the crop of 2012 will
come in as a average at best.
Peas are prerippening due to heavy down
pour and wind that we had last week.
Flat fields facing east. Canola is
twisted and stems bent over causing it
to shut down in spots.
Have been on the road lots lately and
one thing is for sure. Some fields are
nice but for every nice one their are 5
or 6 shitty.
Harvest will be on its way fast.
