    P.M. at Kindersley

Prime Minister Harper officially opened the wheat and barley markets today in Kindersley. Huge crowd, lots of M.P.s, senators and M.L.A.s. Ritz, Anderson and the hosts, the Waldes, put on a great event. Classy touch on P.M.s part, he publicly pardoned all involved in the border running from years back. Afterwards, the lineup to shake the P.M.s hand was 10 times longer then the lineup for beef on a bun. What a way to spend day 1.

It absolutely was a classy act to pardon the individuals convicted it the past.

It boggles my mind that individuals were charged for selling their own grain in
the first place, something I don't think the liberals should have lived down.

It was a huge event to mark a great milestone in history.

So I saw parsley, bduke, tom4cwb, who else was there?

It was a fabulous day. There was such a spirit of
good will and celebration in the air. And so many
friends who have worked together for years and
years to pave the way for marketing choice were
able to celebrate together. Nobody cared about
eating as much as they wanted to visit, and
recall and enjoy each other. Pars

I met quite a few AV'ers. And that was so so
enjoyable. A couple of chuckles on that item
though.... HFL was looking for a woman wearing
a purple blouse and found one who was, but
unfortunately more than one woman wore purple.
He did find me eventually but we had a good
        laugh.

And I did meet bucket, he surprised the heck out
of me when he asked if I was Parsley, and now
I know why I enjoy him so much on AV. A
bonus...he is a mighty fine looking dude. Pars

Thanks, sorry about Art I sat on a commitee with him years ago and I was much younger and he wasn't so I wondered if was around to see today. Makes one realise there were a lot of farmers that didn't live to see today.

It was a great day, over 800 in attendance. Only
regret was that I did not have time to say hi to
more people I knew and meet many more.

Highlight of day was the pardon given to those
who had the courage of conviction to go through
the courts over selling their own private property.

Today was a bit anticlimactic. The big days for me
were third reading in Ottawa and the day the
                      Appeals court crushed the NFU!

I was there, made me really proud to be a Canadian. Best PM ever.

                        We should have had nametags!

What a sad sad day. How much did this cost tax payers. Total waste of money.

Over 800 people...must have been tough on the lawn with that many tramping over it. I wonder who paid for the beef-on-a-bun...taxpayers perhaps?

Only those who would deny other men their rights
would complain about the cost of freedom.
