    british harvest disaster

some very bad reports are coming in about low yields/quality due to fusarium and waterlogging.
most farmers stoped due to more rain.
just watch the downpours at the olympics.

I am guessing that the malt would be in
    poor shape as well then.

Does everyone there have dryers set up to
    dry the grain.

Britain doesn't normally export a pile, look to the reports out of France Germany and Denmark . France and Germany have good crops and France reportedly has a dandy with good quality.

yes, malt is bad, so is wheat.
yes most people have driers if they plan on staying solvent.

some big operators will not be here next year though.

          combine 4wd kits sold out.

            Hedgehog,

Why big operators? Usually they are the most efficient, well capitalized, successful and prepared for adverse conditions. In Canada, all the sympathy goes to the small farmer.

hobby, the big operators here are forced to pay too much rent, are not well capitalised and have little room for error.
a lot of them are contractors, who depend on good conditions to cover big areas.
they cant operate on a swamp.
but they dont get sympathy, everyone despises them for driving the rents up and families out.

Golly it makes me feel so sorry for them, being forced to do what they do and all...
