CWB completes agreements with all Prairie grain handlers

    http://cwb.ca/public/en/newsroom/releases/2012/news_release.jsp?news=080712.jsp

CWB today announced it has reached handling agreements with all western Canadian grain companies. Farmers can now deliver the wheat, durum and barley they contract with CWB to any elevator across the Prairies.

CWB president and CEO Ian White said an agreement was finalized today with 10 companies who will accept farmer deliveries of all CWB grain. The deal completes CWB's network of handling facility alliances.

Today's announcement includes agreements with Parrish & Heimbecker, Paterson Grain, Weyburn Inland Terminal, Prairie West Terminal, Providence Grain Group, Great Sandhills Terminal, North West Terminal, Lethbridge Inland Terminal, Westlock Terminal and Great Northern Grain. An agreement has also been reached for CWB to access port terminal handling at the Alliance Grain Terminal in Vancouver.

So you two would rather have stewie wells running the show.

You do realize the ****ing guy didn't need to use the cwb to sell his grain. He had choice.

How ****ing stupid are you. BTW the fact he laid down on a railway track like a damsel in distress pretty much showed he couldn't run a 6 billion dollar business. ****ing stupid, it just pisses me off.

You guys can use the cwb with their shitty prices if you so desire.

The important thing to remember here is, nobody has to use the voluntary CWB.
The alternative would be to sell 1/12 of your grain every month on the open market, after you harvest it, this would give you an average open market price for your grain with no risk and a higher overall price then you could have expected threw a compulsory CWB.
Personally, I try to lock in the highs.
This forward pricing has served me well in the past and I expect little to no differance in marketing my wheat and barley in the same way.

We are talking to airheads. Deep down they
know that the CWB shafted everyone the same.
Now they dont want to be the only ones getting
shafted, thats why tney are bawling.

Plus they can also pool their canola through the
cwb. Thats an added.bonus for those who
genuinely agree with the cwb. Its all perception.

Gotta hand it to the grain companies,
they initially figured that who in their
right mind would sign up to lose 2 bucks
a bushel. But if they (farmers) are that
stupid, why not take their money.

Good luck with that burbert and wilagro.

Few posts back Wilagro you whined the
CWB changed so much. Apart from getting
rid of a board of 'farmers' who know
little of business, grain trade, board
                governance, what has changed?

                Still waiting for that answer.

There just has to be a multi billion $$ Swiss bank account with all the $$ that the CWB skimmed from farmers over the years.
