Anyone have a chance to examine their offerings?
I only breezed over but seems like HUGE sales
pitch with limited value. However very funny how
competition has forced some ingenuity and
complete attitude adjustment with removal of
unprofessional directors at top. Only 6 months
late, embarassing old leaders had no plan ready
to deploy imediately in January. I wish the new
cwb well and hope those that choose it find some
value. I am one that will not. Good luck with
pooling canola! I challenge someone to show me
the economics on their canola PRO.

I can get 14.50 for january thru adm today.
Charlie, et al, is there a way we can run an
agriville canola pool and determine a pool price as
we go along between now and say July? Selling a
portion monthly for the best price in a simple and
easy way. Deferred delivery in a good priced
month can be easy to keep track of.

So, ten percent of crop sold for jan delivery at
14.50 is the start. Virtual pool begins and we can
compare soon enough to cwb performance.gotta
love transparency.

The fact the cwb is late on this may be to their advantage. If prices continue to climb so should their pool results. And if prices move down a little they should be able to exact a slight premium as they started at a relatively high price.

The problem with the cwb is everything is based Vancouver/thunder bay and the farmer is on the hook to negotiate with handlers.

I will just deal with the handlers for net price. Sure I know I can get more at another point but the difference in price now is just the cost of getting it there.

I know of guys that got 9.50 for their peas this fall except it cost them 75 cents to get them there. So the 8.75 locally wasn't a bad price.

Argentina and brazil have to grow bin busters. The world has relied on "just in time" deliveries for food for far too long.

Hey Burn you finally realize that the CWB had complex schemes to steal our grain. To bad you didn't realize this while the CWB was a monopsony.
