    Durum!

We're into the harvest now yields are about 20
bushels below trend but fusarium damage is lower
on first half section. Lots of blank heads that
turned white just after heading. Might make a 3 or
a two with litttle travel to market it. Weyburn.
    What's happening with price. I didn't do a contract
on my durum because with the last two year shit
shows I was very gun shy!

Cheer-up you don't have to deal with CWB in regards to the fusarium, ergot and other problems this year

That's the one very big plus about the harvest of
2012. No CWB. Bin And forget. We will see. Oh
      but it's my choice.

Not trying to push this in anyone's face but our first field of durum, on lentil stubble is 42 bu/ac, #1, 13.5-13.9 protien. Sprayed with quilt at early heading. Next field is a little better yield, similar quality, although not totally sure yet. Can book 8.5/bu farther out, on a delivered basis. What do people think about this value? It is a premium to wheat. Is premium due to covering of sales? An independent terminal has no price and is going with the CWB so going to alternate buyer.

SF3 If you end up coming to Weyburn with Durum, let me know might be hauling some Canola your direction and looking for a Back Haul.

You must be going to the crusher in
Yorkton. We will bag now then shop around
to much other things going on now will let
            you know later.

SF3. I am talking about later. Thinking
Dec Jan. Don't have anytthing sold to
deliver at this pont but after harvest
pressure cools down, may look at
              crushers as option.
