    Friday crop report!

Winter wheat is having a little bit of a problem
coming up. Top 1 inch is dry and hard.
Durum done bellow average to average.
Hrs most early done 3 to 2 high protein fuss and
ergot main down grade factors. Yield average to
odd one just above no 60 s any where. 30
    common.
Barley a total total shit show 45 tops 20 low and
    it's not plump 29 % . Ugly.
    Peas 5 to 30?
Canola 6 to 25 to 28 late very good best 35. Most
sick with their canola early seeded is by far worst.
But late aren't getting great reviews either.
Oats coming in average to above, should have
mudded in that flooded quarter extra.
Lots of fall work happening, one thing seeing lots
of tandem disced or cultivated fields besides
heavy harrowing. Deep till ages are coming out of
    retirement.

Actually I just remembered one guy did on the
reserve. Lemkine machine then floated and
harrowed. Looked ok but they swath to green so
        could have done better

          Our Wheat 34 to 43, 1,2& 3.
Lots of wheat in 20's after standing got wind shattered.
          Shattered oats looks awful.
Canola swaths a mess, everyone lost 5-10 bu/acre.
Our early seeded 20, last after wind from hell, only 27.
Barley in area as low as 20, max I heard 50.

ground hard as a rock here, could be the
reason for all the discing? my small POS
deep tiller wont even go in the ground
with 6" sweeps just skids on top until it
catches then she goes down about 6" and
pulls up big blocks of packed dirt. Might
have to wait for rain, or pull out disk.

Finished canola 24.85 bpa... total acres
divided by total bushels delivered to
Viterra and Richardson... Have about 10
ac left standing that I gotta thrash.

Working on barley.. was an amazing
crop... then the wind hit. Went from 80
              bpa to 40 - 50.

              Wheat looks good.

              Flax looks awesome.

Yes, late out here... finished MB a week
              ago.

Plus exp trial numbers in truck - dont care right now.
Anything not looked after- canola (fert/fung) 35 ish - anything looked after 40-45 ish, with some over 50 easy.
Now before I get bashed from some here, this is what happened here, not anywhere else .. OK ??
Fungicide on Canola - 6-8 bus on 4 diff test strips
                  Fungicide on HRSW 10 bus
Peas no check - know it is stupid not to spray - sorry.. in this area
                  Dekalb sucked - big time
L130 and 5440 did well minus cleavers and wild oats
VT 500 stood very well - lower yeild
                  46H75 - yeild king - by far
                  45H31 - best r/up
                  74-44 did well
                  73-45 absolutely sucked
PHI sclero varieties as advertiesed- 50-60% reduction in 3 tests.
                  Lance rocks , vertisan sucks.
Micros - were a waste - all of them
                  Sclerotina absolutely killed earlier canola here(may 1 - 15th) - not sprayed

Next year - heads up on sclero if any rain in May / June IMO

Going to bed, good luck to all.....

furrow nice to see some one had a great
crop. Also nice break down of what you
saw and which varieties did OK or awesome. Also each area is different
like you said, in your area what you
stated worked. After harvest Ill break
down what our tests showed. One thing I
can agree on right now the top up micros
were a total waste of cash. One note a
                    very strong fertilizer program maybe
helps to, that's why were not seeing any
bounce. Two sections left of HRS and
were on to custom combine north of us.
