I have just been told what I read on the label and use proline. Spray when the first petals start to fall. Had the rep out cause the neighbours were all spraying way before me and was wondering. Everyone talking about percent flowering I don't think has anything to do with it. According to what I understand is when you spray your spray is only effective on the open flowers. The ones not open but about to open your sol on them. Spray landing on leaves is useless. Now the severity of the disease is brought on by the early infected flowers. Don't need to worry about the later flowers cause they don't have time to infect to the extent of the early flowers. Spraying time is should be determined by when the first flowers start to drop. Couple pettles is nothing they have to stick to the leaf and stems to infect. Ok I am just really tired of hearing the plane flying all fricken day. But this is what I learned today and we don't typically spray for slerotinia, and probably just screwed away 20 grand not including application.
