40 bush at 10 is 400 so you worked all year for $29 dollars an acre and unless you had 5000 to 10000 acres you really didn't make jack shit.
Now a 50 or 55 and yes you did make money still lots of time for mother nature to wipe that out. Lets try the opposite side. Hail on half so now your average yield is 25 or 30 at ten and your loosing money. Or you seeded 160 acres and now with all the rain you have 140 to harvest say its 50 you just lost 1000 bushels or 43.7 yield.
Most when they have a good crop go way to far one way, but also when its poor its way to far the other way. She is a ok crop at this time but not close to a bin buster.
