Ok so I'm sure there are a few out there in the same boat so I thought I would throw this out for discussion. I used Put options as a fairly significant part of sales strategy this year because of agronomic uncertainty.
Now what? Have 540 and 550 Nov Canola Puts, Basis is Crappy. Sell Jan futures and Sell the Puts? I'm really looking at the Market though today at $475 and thinking its getting overdone. $460 next level of support, scary to think it could break below that but I suppose it could happen.
It Was not my original strategy but considering selling the Put Options and staying long Cash maybe pick up another 20 bucks or more. Spidey senses are tingling big time that although crop looks good no doubt still some hurdles particularly with US Bean Crop. This market is oversold. Really curious to others thoughts. I should just stick with the plan, but lets have a discussion about it. I'm sure others in the same boat.
