see a lot of you guys grow oats obviously they are a very profitable crop? They must yeiled exceptionally well compared to wherat and barley?
And chemical use for weeds can be difficult as not such a wide selection for oats
But they are frost resistant or are here in aust.
rarely grown to a large extent here in aust mostly for hay and some for oatmeal etc and small feed component but wheat is used mostly in feed rations or triticale
some oats for horse industry but little otherwise.
just wondering in case I uproot and head to Canada to farm.....
ps looking at putting in a offer for some land $340 per acre 15.2 inch rainfall elevated lessened frost risk 30 to 40 bushel per acre wheat country costs per acre including machinery depending how much fert used around $70 per acre mark and if planets align yield will be even higher or should I just sell up and move to Canada were farming is cheaper and easier
