    Friday crop report!

Well another week with hot temp and dry. Got to
only plus 5 last night but rest of the week was
very warm. Crops are coming fast.
Soy is really speeding up pods their and growing
in height. Dry spots leaf drop starting, needs a
    rain.
Oats some fields have white spots from drying
down, experts might see light oats later on, this is
    in late oats.
Barley is turning on early barley one guy swath
and just started harvesting. We will be swathing
    later next week.
Wheat some have started to desicate ( roundup
per harvest). Wheat has plump heads. No one is
guessing how it will turn out. Late needs time and
will make it with 10 to 14 more days till frost.
Minor fusarium, but arrived late. Funny read how
one expert was saying how even fields that had
variable rate tec. Yea right all look the same in our
    area.
Canola is shut down on just about every field,
frost would do damage still but even the latest
field might make something now with 10 to 14
more days till frost. Very little sclerotina showing
up. Some fields tall others short, heat did do
damage on later seeded fields. But the two cool
    days did help.
Peas were desiccated last week are starting to be
    harvested, we are going tomorrow.
So to wrap up the week dry and hot except two
days, no rain for the week. Harvest is beginning
on peas, winter wheat has had a rough year
acreage will be down due to dry conditions and
    poor winter survival.
Funny you can see in cereals how different
    varieties are showing different potential.
Have a safe and great harvest. No rain now till
November it's to late for 2013. 4 in total.
