International corn prices are setting the trend in all feed grain as the shifting switches from not supplies (2012/13) to adequate (2013/14). Black Sea Corn prices - USD $205 to $210/tonne. Brazil - $215 to $220/tonne. US Gulf - $215 ish/tonne. Black Sea feed wheat prices - $225 to $230/tonne.
West coast barley prices in the USD $245 to $250/tonne range FOB (Japan recently bought top end of the range Sept./Oct.). East/West Europe and Argentina $5 to $15 lower. West coast capacity pretty much booked so will be difficult to put on additional sales for any crops remainder of 2013. US spring crops are also looking very good in spite of being late (middle of harvest) now so options of moving barley south will be limited.
