Had a nice conversation with a couple of jehovas
witness's this morning(i dont have an opinion about
these people good or bad).
The topic of the day was living forever and how
humans will eventually live forever,then she blurts out
the question"do you think technology will get us
there?"
Thought it was odd,dont know if she was about to
slam technology.
I said,i dont know have you heard of moores law and
the exponential function?
Nope
Well moores law states computer power will double
every 2 two years(which it has) and the exponential
function is the math behind it.
So lets say technology is at a whole only growing at
7%,so we are only doubling every 10 years,what that
actually means is that the technology we develope in
the next ten years will be greater than the sum of all
the previous technology we have developed in
mankind's existence,so anything is possible i guess.
"wow thats interesting"
Just a dumb story for you guys lucky enough to be
harvesting and need something to read on mile long
runs.
