Looking at the Dekalb performance trials they have listed already kind of makes me laugh! Of couse the highest yields on most of their plots but I really have to laugh when they rate the standability as good on their varieties. I don't know if anyone tried their varieties this year but I was given a couple of bags of 7444 and 7454 to try and put a plot in the middle of another RR variety. It all looked good until the pods started filling and oh my god....flat to the ground and what an absolute nightmare to swath. Why can't they perfect some varieties before bringing this kind of crap to the market? Good thing it was only a few acres because I can't imagine trying to swath this stuff on large acres.
