I find it kind of annoying that so many
farmers complain about or collect
insurance on wildlife damage yet when
hunting season rolls around all land is
posted. I understand that a few bad eggs
have left a bad taste but most people
that hunt are good respectful people. I
don't even mind land that is posted with
a phone number as even I like to keep
track of who is coming and going on my
land but the days of driving into the
closest yard and getting permission are
gone with today's sprawling farms. I
guess as a taxpayer I have a hard time
subsidizing wildlife damage through crop
insurance when it is nearly impossible
to hunt in many areas of this province.
