So one end of the farm gets a couple rains and the other didn't.
We had taken a sample before either rains so we do know what the
crop looked like prior to rains.
Two companies graded the HVK on the dry side at 90 to 97%. On the
wet side from about 35 to 45%. However, a third company graded the
rained on durum from 80 to 88%. A big difference.
They said you need to cut the kernels to check HVK after a rain. The
other two companies said, never heard of it, but let me look again.
Has anyone else run into this? I am going to send a few samples to
CGC to check it out.
