I heard from 4 different spot on the praries today
that viterra has purchased enough wheat to fill
their sales program till november and in turn have
pulled their bids in those time frames. They will
still be posting bids but only for those with basis
contracts that need the futures priced. The will
now only price in 10 mt increments for overages
on contracts.
Also understand Cargill has purchased enough to
take them through until September and the CWB
winter pool will most likely be full by year end.
Anyone else hear this?. Really doesn't surprise
me. The guys who have done next to nothing
could be screwed.
