One of the greatest thing I have seen in politics happened recently with this election.
None of the people that initiated this commission from behind closed doors and would not comply to have a joint board with Alberta got elected. The ego's of some of these non-elected would not allow the better of the good to prevail.
I am not saying i support the mindset of the individuals that did get elected but thank goodness the others did not get in. they just want a seat at a table so they can get their face in newspapers and TV.
As a producer for over 25 years i can guarantee that this commission is going to cost producers more than they will gain. Hopefully in the near future Saskatchewan can amalgamate with another province or two if this sort of commission is absolutely necessary.
I believe that is the only way it makes sense - Power in numbers. No world syndicate or multinational cares about a small western Canadian wheat commission let alone a single province with commissions coming out of its gazoo!
