Any one have any experience growing 46A76
canola?
I read that that you can keep farm saved seed
from this variety. I contacted the CFIA to ask and
this is the response I got back from them.
"Plant Breeders' Rights protection on '46A76' was
surrendered on February 19, 2009 making it a
publicly available variety under the PBR Act.
Having said this, there could be other contractual
arrangements in place that might limit the sale of
this variety. You are best to directly contact
Pioneer to determine whether or not there are any
limitations on the sale of the variety."
I have been trying to contact pioneer and can't get
a answer from them or have contacted the right
person yet.
I have no experience with this variety but
according to the yield trials it was a pretty good
variety in its day.
