The contracts we sign with the buyers of
our products are ridiculous - for us
that is. This topic comes up again and
again, but now there may be enough
momentum to actually get somewhere.
We need contracts that are two sided,
teeth on both sides. Penalties on both
sides. Firm delivery dates and penalties
if not delivered.
We see rail, terminal elevators, and
ship demurrage as our problem. It isn't.
Its the companies who buy your grains'
problem. With the piece of crap contract
we sign, they MAKE it our problem.
Thoughts?
