No complaining back to whadda, iffa, midda.
Post solutions, will you please?
Solution Suggestion
1. Contact Premier Wall. Ask him to appoint a co-
ordinator to start moving grain and a logistics
person. Smart people.
1. Divide Saskatchewan into four ship-zones
2. Order large numbers of producer cars on behalf
of producers. The good thing is the rules for
producer cars are in our favour. If the railways are
too slow, Premier can ask the Feds for legislation
to put a hefty lagging-time penalty on slow
service.
3. Begin shipping from the Southeast. Govt works
with WIT if they will agree to load first, to take out
the bugs. Load producer cars there, with say, 200
cars. Reward WIT.
4. Ask the govt to pay for both co-ordinator and
logistics man. Reward well, based upon
outcome. For this 2014, only, ask the Sask govt
to foot the bill for co-ordination and logistics man.
5. Keep car-ordering for also the SouthWest,
NorthWest, NorthEast at specified points a govt
ordering producer cars on behalf of individual
farmers will be difficult for the RR's to ignore.
This is only the shipping-side thoughts; not the
buying side. We need to ask the Feds to help on
the buyer side, too. Thoughts?
