W5 Investigative Report on the Pipeline War
enbridge-logo-on-pipeline W5 to Air Investigative Report About the Pipeline War
On Saturday February 22nd, W5 will be airing an investigative report about "the PIPELINE WAR being waged over the future of Enbridge's Line 9 oil pipe, which runs from Montreal, through Toronto and to Sarnia, Ontario. The company wants to reverse the flow to ship Alberta oil sands crude. Opponents claim it's not safe and complain about Enbridge's past record."
I know this is a very controversial subject right now on this site with the backlot of grain that is on the prairies.
Oil pipelines going south ie: Keystone XL (TransCanada) and Enbridge's Gateway to the Pacific and now Enbridges Line 9 reversal right through populated Toronto area was shown last night on W5.
It was very well explained why their is now the resistance there is for any Group 1 Energy Company trying to find new routes of shipping Butemin from Alberta Oil Sands to refineries in eastern Canada or the Gulf of Mexico.
For 10 years pipeline landowner associations have tried to offer suggesting at NATIONAL ENERGY BOARD HEARINGS on how to improve the situation. After this W% documentary---That was very very well done----There could be Regulator chance that could make a difference.
