Oats are there any this year.

Oats are trading at well over $200.00/MT Calgary region. The only measurable amount being offered are not Canadian, they are not even North American. Does any body feel like guessing where they are from?

My guess is that the oats are coming from either Finland or Norway. Any prize for the the correct answer?

Scandinavian countries I understand have a good high quality crop this year.

AS well the US has harvested most of their oats already, so if the oats are here and are new crop, they would most likely be new crop US or carry over Canadian oats.

Fusarium is an issue a person should be concerned about in oats, especially if they are being seeded. Make sure they are tested and clean for fusarium especially if the are going in the ground...
