I have a lot of tough wheat in the bin. Since I have completely lost hope in hauling it out anytime soon I was wondering what is the longest period of time u can keep wheat without it heating. Overall every bin would likely average close to dry, but there are spots that are up to 17 per cent. I was drying everything in nov/dec adding supplemental heat to the aeration fans in the bins then moved it. The bottom was overdry, but didn't do nothing to the top. I then moved the grain to another bin. I will put the fans on and freeze the grain some more before april, but am concerned when it warms up in may, june when I will be on the field. Does anyone have any long-term storage experiences with tough grain from the past?
