We need binding two party contracts with the grain companies. After 90 days of none delivery , storage and interest on lost income come into effect. We as farmers need to present to the grain companies contracts drawn up by ourselves and not accept the standard one now offered. This new generic contract could be drafted by the Federal Government, Canola Council or provincial farm groups . Maybe then the grain cos would sign level of performance agreements with the rail cos. Then the financial cost of the next shipping mess would be pushed back to those responsible.
