Talked to an astute neighbour tonight.
Spent a lot of time investigating trucking wheat to
Portland. Was told by a terminal manager there
that he had a $.70/bu tax on CDN wheat and it
had to be segregated at terminal and ship.
Has anyone any insight on this??
Tax by whom and why?
Explains why he also couldn't find many US
elevators that would buy CDN wheat.
One MT CHS point had a bid for CDN wheat at a
much lower price than DNS.
