confused as always.....
you guys grow all hybrids?
Open pollinated obviously are not grown?
Here in Australia new beaut variety comes out with all the bells and whistles we grow 100 acres or so and keep seed for planting next year.
Other doing the same with hybrids and seemingly lose 15% yield which brings them back to open yields but way less seed cost.
Am I missing something you guys cant legally or wont morally do this?
Why spend mega on seed when it only gonna give you a few % extra yield ive got neighbours growing canola from 15 yr old varieties and only yield slightly less than latest and greatest
having said all that disease resistance is much better in new canaolas
