If screenings are worth over $100/t, shouldn't we slow the wind down... and open the chaffer up when we combine???
As long as our grain handling systems would still work OK, then a person could set up a screener and clean the grain before selling it, IF the chaff is dry...
Why should we pay elevator CO's to haul our screenings to Vancouver, then pay them to haul it back... isn't this just a scheme to keep the railway busy while farmers get to pay the bill both ways???
How can screening pellets be worth more than CPS wheat and malt barley?????
