Cold soils

I know it don't matter much in may but I asked about soil temperature not long ago and Klause says his soil temp at carmel is plus 4 and says its warm enough to plant. There is a huge flaw in his temperature test cause this morning the surface is now froze solid. Not good for good for anything in my opinion. But she should warm up eventually. Cannot get out there anyway.
