    Welcome Harvey Brooks to Saskatchewan.

    http://www.producer.com/2014/06/brooks-named-new-general-manager-of-saskatchewan-wheat-development-commission/

While disappointed that the SWDC couldn't work with Tom Steve. It looks like they found a qualified candidate. I was expecting much stronger NFU ties.

Why can't you just post the news without your WCWGA slant. Its little wonder why farmers are poorly represented.

Its actually not news, its been known for at least a month.

Hahaha. Harvey Brooks. No NFU slant? Hahaha. Gust, I guess you missed all those CWB debates back in the '90s when Harvey worked for the board. Harvey was the only worthy opponent Wheat Grower directors ever debated.

All jokes aside, Harvey will be very good heading the commission if he is allowed to do his job. Unless the job description is redefined into some quasi wheat board bullshit.

        David.

I don't pretend to represent anyone other than
WG members. If I'm interviewed it's either as myself or as representing the WG and I stick to the topic and assigned speaking points.

Steve's replacement is news that was not public knowledge until the Farm Progress show.

Putting forward topics with a positive view on our industry is something I think this forum needs more of so I'll continue to do so until I decide different

Since you seem determined to stifle using an avatar. I'll shine some light. While I have no desire to drink beers together, like in Moose Jaw and Kindersly.

Maybe if your more widely known you can find someone who will buy your CB farm you can find an industry you enjoy.

I posted this to welcome Harvey and to hope everyone gives Harvey a chance.

Some farmers are looking for a reason to pull their dollars.

It shouldn't be over this staffing position

If you want to get personal about my farm be careful. I am not sure you want me describe what I think of you on this forum.

So far some have told me I have been too civil.

Besides I have no desire to be well known. Don't care. My opinions are put forth not to be claimed, but to be acted on by others.

Some value my opinions others don't. Makes no difference to me.

I don't remember Moose Jaw and Kindersley, as I look back, was just a rah rah session for an incompetent ag minister who forgot to implement the no brainer part of transparent reporting for the industry that he claims to represent.

I re read your comments. I will comment later about my farm and an industry I enjoy.

                  FALS. Enough said for now.

So you do, or don't remember Moose Jaw and Kindersley?

Moose Jaw was where you chased me down to hand me a cheque for the legal case against the CWB directors. Like you wanted me to know that you support the WG

Kindersley was for the PMSH announcement on August first. You seemed to be in a very good mood we drank beers

As for your opinion on my family's farm. Let me guess?
I was born to a couple of very hardworking successful parents that gave me every opportunity to farm. Opportunities that you were not provided.

Due to the cohort that I was born to I don't know the hard times that you and others might have. Ourfigure I don't know.....

Am I getting close? See that's the thing with Saskatchewan.only one degree of separation when we live only 45 min apart we have many mutual acquaintances.

Yes Gerrid, Harvey Brooks is indeed well qualified. It's nice that you wish him well, both on a personal level and for all the work he has before him on behalf of Sask wheat producers.
To my knowledge Harvey has no NFU ties.
For that matter most of the Sask Wheat Commission has no NFU ties( or at least they haven't bothered to mention it to anyone). It's just 2 I think.
Tangentially related: I can say only good things about Tom Steve. If anyone thinks otherwise it should be said that he moved on with genuine warm wishes from all I know that met him.

I had every opportunity to do what I wanted, but I got weaned you didn't.

                            Big difference.

And probably the same can be said for those you get your info from.
