Depending on what you are spraying for. Spraying for a second flush of wild oats doesn't pay unless it's severe - will add dockage but not impact yield - that's on an average year most likely when moisture would be the limiting resource.

Sprayed twice in 2010, yes got those weeds but canola was so poor still had lots of weeds in 17 bu/acre crop. Will never know if it was WATER or R'up that made it happen. Seen Lots of late spraying along the highway.

Keep spraying. Spray often and use full rates. Pre buy your spray so you don't get caught in a shortage. You also need a good, new sprayer those old welfare pull type sprayers are doing your farm more harm than good. If you pull your sprayer, you are a girl. The sprayer is the most important tool on a farm. Get two of them. Hurry, act now. There is no money in weeds, but plenty of money spent on weeds. What will the neighbours think if they see you pulling your sprayer? What if the crop is not pretty?

Bolting canola should be done to spray. It wil abort any open flower tho.

It would only do it if really needed. Chemical has been hot this year to start and it can cause blanks. We've started going 2/3 l first pass and 1/3 on the second if needed.
