Bolting canola should be done to spray. It wil abort any open flower tho.

It would only do it if really needed. Chemical has been hot this year to start and it can cause blanks. We've started going 2/3 l first pass and 1/3 on the second if needed.

I have seen many times people still spraying rr canola into first flower and have done it myself. This happens its farming. On occation it will happen in a lifetime more than once. I cannot say it hurt anything. Possibly if a first flower does not make it to pod 3 others will is my opinion under weed pressure. Obviously its done cause it was needed. To spray or not is learned from experience not from a univercity student.

Those first dozen pods are the biggest, with the biggest seeds. I hate losing them for any reason. Besides that you have to leave some dockage in there, they're taking it anyway.
