Speaking of good choices. Went to range Sunday first time this year. Heat waves off barrel of 460 & 500 blurring target, concussion wave headache, hands covered in GSR, awesome choice.

Doesn't matter who profits or how the system is set up, the same people will be doing the breeding.
The next great wheat breeder isn't hiding in Monsanto's lab somewhere.
The big bucks will be spent on advertizing.
You folks will provide testimonials as to how much better the varieties are.

And My older varieties as long as they don't decommission them will yield higher than anything coming down the pipe. Farmers live in the delusion that new is better. I guess its better when you cant grow the old varieties or were in your dads sack when he was growing them.
Here is another example of Bs.
Lumiderm trials. You pay a extra dollar a lb for the better seed treatment.
Ah were getting close to field shutting down so far pod size and stand are the same on all three mile long two passes. Yes weigh wagon will determine but the 1 a lb. sounds cheap but your seeding 5 lbs. or 5 an acre.
Decis with your first herbicide and rebate is less. That's if you have some damage.
Its all smoke and mirrors and they no how to play farmers.
Were easy pickings. Same with this seed debate its so easy to see who is going to get screwed but yet its like shooting fish in a barrel.

Gerrid:
I should give a more lengthy response but one item I want to comment on is the corporate involvement. It isnt that I am totally against corporate involvement but am against corporate monopoly.
