We're not in it and our farm history says we wouldn't have missed much. I realize not everyone has that luxury. Survived this long without it.

Here are my crop insurance numbers.

          Total premium/acre.......$47.94.
          Government pays..........$28.77.
          I pay....................$19.77.
          50% experience discount...$9.58.

I was shocked when I first saw these numbers. I am insured at 80%.

            grrr

First thing that pops out at me - you really don't need crop insurance. You are basically self insured.

            A job well done.

I really wish they would simply allocate funds on some sort of matching formula for approved risk management tools

I cant even remember it was over 20 years ago when i was a pennyless 18 year old.

Furrow good luck in your fight, keep us posted, although if i have your story straight in my head(chemical heat causing root rot in peas?),it sounds like a hell of a fight because that company would be screwed if it went to court and claims would be fast and furious, maybe that is the angle you can play, settle with me now out of court or face a shit storm now randy.

Ha,ha just had a thought of how funny it would be if all farmers started acting like mr.layhe and the way he treats randy on trailer park boys,to all the people we deal with.

Think our figures would be similar to grrr.
Substantial payouts every five to ten years.
Smaller ones (reseeding, winter kill, etc) every three to five.
Have to wonder why some have had such bad experience.
