What about the industrial hemp varieties for some of your ideas? Good oil profile and better agronomics than marijuana.

I doubt that field grown weed would compare to hydroponic high level thc varieties on the street.

As an aside, what plant breeder turned that almost oregano shit from the '70s into the mind blowing shit out there now? That dude or dudette should have been breeding canola.

My dear dad just finished his time with our race with hydromorphine which is 10 times more powerful than morphine. Dad was is horrible pain... lungs congested...

Within 10 minutes of asking for help for him... he relaxed and started breathing much better and his lungs worked better. His last few days were reasonably peaceful because the intervention of a good pain relief regime lowered his stress and helped him to pass on in relative peace.

We have the medical technology to keep people alive for extended periods... people who would have died years before.

Politics have always been a part of the decisions we make as humans... personal decisions need to be respected no doubt.

CP... our personal belief systems need to be respected... because there is so much tech to extend our existence other than rules and regulations... Drug co's are not going to win... self medication avoids the establishment.

The 'rules' are too often meant to benefit those who make and lobby to make the rules... not to help a brother or sister in pain and suffering...but to help themselves to a brother or sister's wallet.

I was using tongue in cheek about the CWB... but I think you knew that... perhaps I read your entry from the wrong perspective... strange how words can be read in many different ways.

So I do now lean towards the ipsos position... because personally I do Not think there would be any radical difference... Washington state and Colorado have not fallen off the earth or become black holes!

I use willow bark (Aspirin) to help with pain... plus off the shelf non prescription that works well..

Any pain medication system can become a dependancy problem...

The more diverse and multi active the aids to overcome pain... the more effective the outcome!

Just like herbicides... many different classes... modes of action... better results!

They probably couldn't have imagined the changes the old timers have seen in their lifetime. And I wonder what changes I will see in the next third or second half of my life if I am lucky enough to double my age.

It seems once farming is in the blood there is always a deep interest from the predecessors, especially if the next two generations are actively farming. It must be fun to watch the progress and expansion of what they started and where it is headed now or what it has become, a deep sense of satisfaction and gratitude.

It will be hard to lose a parent. .....

Tom, my deep sympathies on the loss of your father and friend. Today we will bury my cousin, whose father was a great inventor and manufacturer. His son worked right beside him all of his life and those of us whe experienced that commeraderie understand the legacy of knowledge transferred-knowledge that goes to the grave on a day like this is immeasurable, probably same as in your father's case, but the love of growing and nurturing will live on in you and yours.
