By the way, this wasn't bitching and moaning about anything but a lost investment opportunity. Nothing to do with a lack of winter rail service....

My comments weren't aimed at you farmaholic. They were an emotive response to a couple later posts that contained words like "corrupt" and "crooks" that set me off. I'm like 'grow up'! Stocks in Canadian rr's, banks and insurance companies are our 'blue chip' stocks and you can never go wrong. I stand by previous comments.

I was thinking birk was going down at one time also. But they still controle all the info that goes to shareholders in all reports. Get it???? Dumb ****s. They get info before anyone else.

Yep, cpr would've been a great investment! I bought CNR a while back, a lot of upside potential i think. Are their anymore socialists in sask.? I thought they all moved to mb.

As far as ROI, yes it would of been a good investment......but the fact remains CPR is a corrupt organization.

There is wrong-doing to some extent with every company in the world, big or small. What did they do wrong now, cut too many jobs? You can't tell me that if you ran the company that you wouldn't try to cut costs. It's a business, if they weren't shrewd they would lose money, then go broke then government would bail it out or take it over and run it like every other gov. business, at yours and mine expense. I wish people would quit complaining about the evil corporations and get on with life. The alternative to what alot of you are complaining about, is a soviet style centrally run GOV. That really worked well, yippee lets bring back the cwb. Gosh!

control, collusion, etc. has gone on since the dawn of man. We're at the bottom of the value-added chain, so ya we're vulnerable to alot of outside forces. If anything, things aren't as bad as they used to be. I wasn't screwed by the railways last year, farmers screwed themselves if they sold at a low price. their were plenty of good pricing oppurtunities out there. you can keep your vaseline,i don't need it.
