Winter wheat yields

Not first hand info. but hired man of one farmer in area said wwht. did 30 bus/acre with 14% fusarium. Can't pay too many bills with that, hopefully others have better yields.

So what can you do with commercial salvage? That is the grade for anything over 10% fus. I would think it has 0 value. What does crop insurance do in this case?

Well the Govt agency in Manitoba says yields are 50 to 80 last night for winter wheat.

crop ins. will adjust prod. if grade is below qaranteed grade. ( sec. 14.06 ) entirely up to them though. Maybe the klein method is in order, shoot,shovel,and shutup. Spring wht., canola and beans all look very good in the area, winter wht. not so much.

We did a 5 acre section today to cal the yield monitor and looked awesome, like 90 bu good, huge swath, but about 60 bu and 4% fus. Was sprayed with carumba early heading. Running high fan 1150 to try and clean up but it's all big kernels left in sample. Big disappointment but kinda knew when it was turning as lots of white heads were visible. Vomi sent away so we'll see. Getting tired of shit w.wht as past three years the hrs has been better, but it does spread harvest as hrs is a week away at least. Hope others finding better.
