Forage. If you want everyone to have a tax cut you don't reduce personal income tax you reduce the GST which is a consumption tax, and we all are consumers.. We are in for some real bad times if Justin was to get to be PM. Has had his head in the clouds his whole life and it's been a cloud of smoke a lot of that.

All indications from economists state, that cutting income tax is the best way of putting more money back in Canadians pockets. You as are farmer you pay little GST as you get the majority of it back. Wouldn't it it better for you if your farm income tax was reduced.
Tom I have come to the conclusion your not worth debating. You can't even read, as, no where in my posts did I call anybody a troll. My follow up post was in agreement for the previous poster's Harper comments. If you had taken the time read and digest my comments you would have figured that out. By the way, wasn't there a post here on Agriville several weeks ago from some fellow poster stating they were at a meeting with you and that you don't listen well to other peoples comments. Well I guess you also have a hard time reading other people's comments and understanding as well. I'm sure I could get a lot of people here on Agriville raising their hands to that one.
Blackpowder your comment of my head being in a smelly funky area is a real big boy response. Sounds like your and expert in that field and maybe you should come up for air now and again as your way deep in somebody's

Way too much public money being spent on advertising programs and MP offices. In Seeding must have heard every 15 minutes all day on Moose Jaw radio. Done within the rules but just using public money to promote themselves and their party. Funny the radio blitz was when the MP was trying to get elected as a candidate for the next election.

Its been my experience that most who speak out and argue against Harper and/or fiscal conservatism simply don't want to work and/or don't like being pulled off the public tit. I think the attack ads are bought and paid for, and obviously hit home for a lot of people. Better than, an counter to, the daily anti-conservative liberal smear campaigning being done by elitest liberals thru CBC on the public dime. Those guys will do anything to get ahold on the public purse...even pretend to be farmers on AV.
I'm sure Harper's getting tired of the bs already. I know I am. Love him or hate him, there is no one to replace him that will represent Western Canadian producer interests.
Just guessing but I think a combination of a gst hike and cuts to personal income tax are both in the wings.
Beyond the headlines, I'm guessing the Howe data will serve to further address austerity/entitlement/competitiveness issues in this country. I'm not as much interested in the headlines as I am the details.

Forage. It may put more dollars back into taxpayers pockets but for many Canadians who pay no income tax it would do nothing. These are not just people with poor paying jobs but many people on fixed incomes, like seniors. Much more fair to give them a break as well. My farming business does get most of the GST back but my family pays dearly when we consume. Just because I have a business does not imply that I have taxable income every year or even most years. Give me a break on GST on my consumption every time.

As the pendulum swings too far one way the opposite party pushes it back from that position. Getting blamed for the situation at the time. And it repeats.
Stand for something or fall for anything. =Answer my question or run for office yourself.=
I could shave several billion in a minute. Deed first nations their land and stop all checks.
Place conditions on transfer payments to provinces like Quebec and cut them off for non-compliance.
Sorry Toto, this ain't your Kansas. For now it's still east of the lake. Get a compass, jump in your beetle and follow your heart.

Forage....
Didn't you say:
"Oh yea feel free to type what ever you want it's an open forum and I won't be upset if it's " DERAILED" Let's have fun!!!! Just no name calling."
I guess what you really meant we can't call you out... but you can insult us.
Now to the meat of our debate:
Considering the fiscal state of the G7... plus Russia... Canada is in the best state of any of these nations... which was the Conservative Party of Canada (CPC) political stated objective going into our last Canadian general election.
We are not "Cons" as you have tagged us; I am a real person... with feelings... compassion for others... which includes 'liberal' borrowing financial resources when required... according to some right wing economists... WHICH I AM NOT... nor are the vast majority of those who elected our CPC majority now in POWER.
We all knew what the present ruling government had done before the last election... which granted them the privilege to continue that same tack... which has been accomplished with simple daily application of rational modern economics.
Some may debate the elements of modern economic theory. Fine.
The application of these principals have been handled with skill, compassion, liberal social policy, and general prosperity being the result of the governance policies applied.
I therefore applaud the intent of our governing party... the Conservative Party of Canada... which may not be conservative by some definitions... and is much more likely to be liberal politics by actual definition.
Fine with me.
The Harper government has liberal policies... being applied that are conservative when compared to the NDP, Bloc, and Communist liberal party of Canada that Justin wanders about to find a cliff to jump from.
Be a lemming Forage... follow Justin over the cliff.... or the NDP...
As was said here before... in the times we live in... this CPC leadership is negotiating the landscape with reasonable skill and within expectation of those who placed them in the position of power they now occupy.
Cheers!
God Bless Canada!
May Canada prosper and lead the world to peace and brotherly/sisterly love!!!

Tom, how do you know Canada's in the best state? I'd say we are in a free-fall, with skyrocketting debt. The country is brim- full of resources and commodities that the world is clamouring to get their hands on and this government can't balance the books! It is shameful! They have destroyed the stability of retirees, gutted most of the western programs, decimmated the Dept of Ag, killed the savers, rewarded heaviest debtors and this is going to lead us where? There is no vision, not a boo about the big plan, because why-they don't have one, I presume. I never heard such a bunch of mutes, all they can do is point their finger at Trudeau in fear. They should have no fear - none at all!
