Just sick of this year and all the shit that's associated with to much moisture or Dew or fricking rain.
We sprayed our Wheat with Aceppella with herbicide then came back on some fields with Prosario etc. later.
Just out crop scouting and guess what the only thing that I can safely say is the guys who didn't spray any fungicides are screwed or really screwed. Now the other observation. The guys who sprayed and had a healthy plant right up till last weeks rain, their is really no difference between the Companies and their results. Damage is 30% at worst case and might blow out the back.
But the big difference is over paying for a product. I guess we should have sprayed again and again and again to beat this disease that has been around for a very long time.
Seed for all we pay for new varieties don't you think some one would have come up with something after all these years or do research dollars not go to a serious threat like this. Its easier to make money on farmers over and over even if the results with spray are poor to say the least.
Now I am not using a comparison to some one on the west side with mild outbreaks etc. I'm talking to guys in the flood zone where rain happens and heavy dew nights almost every second day.
High moisture areas do we have to use three or four applications and then have a lovely green crop that freezes in late sept when its finally ready.
Lots of questions but again it will cut yield.
Yield in a low price year is what pays the bills.
Stats Canada latest yield report wont show this for HRS because its just showing up the last 10 days.
