On mine its seems to be about 5 to 10% loss. So compared to the guys who did nothing and have 30 to 50 I guess its worth it. But why after all these years in Canada haven't the powers that be helped develop a wheat that is resistant to it. Ah the chem companies make way more selling shit that's over priced that we drink like beer on a Saturday ok every day of the week.

For those linking use of glyphosphates to fusarium correlation is not causation!

We didn't spray any fungicides on wheat this year and there is not much fusarium. Found some in the outside round in the low areas but nothing in past 100ft. Think the grain sample will tell the real story. We are in the flood area as well. I'm starting to think were addicted to spraying.

I know it sucks to spend all that money and find out that the crop still has problems.

Or sucks even more to not spray and find out how bad it is. Judging neighbours and your own can be diceiving. Combine sample the real tell tale. Early late planting. Previous crop history. Amount of tillage. Type of soil which changes every few miles.

If there is a quality issue found when scouting it is usually magnified a few times when you look in the grain tank.

                  Thanks Klause, that is interesting.
Need co-op style trials for these various crop inputs.

Rareearth are you saying that we can't trust the chem Co's trials and advise?

Coleville, but it will be the last hit you have to take. That is only one option to the end result I'm insinuating, you pick the path you want to take. May be worth it for the peace of mind.

We went through fusarium cycle wet year susceptible varieties no control. Last few years virtually none due to drier weather better varieties spraying. This will be an ongoing battle.
