Ok Here it is Snow on Tuesday!

FML can the weather just keep getting any better. First don't start till second week because snow still on ground and froze. Then the seeding season with rain snow slush rain. Then 5 days to spray then rain and two sun then rain. Then foot rain. Then the week of summer ah how I still can remember it 9 days of hot hot temps. Then august with hail and wind and down pour. Then rest of august just plain shit. Now Snow next Wed or Tuesday does it really matter. Mother nature you win.

Are you still happy with you two fungicide apps. Must be something we can spend more money on to save this crop.

Me either. But since when is wrong to vent frustrations or point out facts that have made this a tough year for some Producers?

It is up to us to adjust to the forces of Mother Nature, whether it is our attitudes or management. When it comes to weather we are ABSOLUTELY powerless. I try not to worry/stress about things I have no control over. Surely there will be some half decent harvest days in the next two months. Not an ideal situation we are dealing with presently but what can you do about it? I think this "may" turn out to be the toughest harvest I've seen. We are threatened with frost on crops that need more time to mature and the incessant rain/"moisture" is grating on peoples nerves, and rightfully so for some.....

Funny thing is it is the amount of money I spent already, on fertilizer and fungicides, that is making this crop hang on longer... so maybe desiccation is in order, more time and money on a crop that is already in jeopardy of not being profitable.

Prob not much but I hate white stuff. Darcy and I never took time off in summer. .. but we saved up 6 grand to go somewhere temperate for a week when it's white out

Farmzone says mixed precip tuesday. So the way I got it figured out if it snows a foot klauset I will get my dream vacation. Head to missinnipi in early sept. Hopefully they have 2 0r 3 feet of snow. Hire plane for 1200.. cheap. Go upstream me and my canoe get dropped off somewhere 12 day return. Dammit now want to rent land out so could be reallity. **** that would be so beautiful up there.

Don't go crop share, lots of neighbors wished they had CASH this year! Just another bet we can lose, and it's been VERY profitable crop sharing lately.

Tax-wise crop sharing is advantageous. Also, if land is sold and you are a non- farmer, then $750,000 capital gains exemption may not apply. How would you like that CRA tax assessment?

Hate to say it but - it's gona be a reality check for the harvest season - it has been abnormal for to many years in a row - and gave too many the supermanitis bug
Hard to believe there were guys still seeding long season Saddash here in June, and pouring the juice to er..... sooner or later.

I hope we don't get snow. If er do its Back to the rigs I go.

If we don't get snow would be running around the countryside with a color sorter or a bomill cleaning fusarium out of wheat so guys can get a #2 or #1.
