    Grrr / S/F - Beer cooler ....

Keep your beer on the back deck at nights around the full moon - cheap way to "chill" it off

If it does freeze how many acres would be effected?

20% locally - up to maybe 35-40% north of here - A lot of swathers runnin hard now.
Swathed for 5-6 days will be a big help

Boy I hope the weather pattern changes after this event. Good thing I don't suffer from "Supermanitis" as furrow says. If I were some of the big guys around here I too would be nervous, we have about 50 days left to harvest, at best, and there could be some more delays and the days don't get any longer this time of year. Would be nice to see a high pressure system pump up some nice dry air from the south for an extended period. We will likely have bran frost and flax may suffer a bit too if it freezes, we are not frost safe yet on our farm. Good luck everyone, maybe they'll be wrong and it won't be as bad as we think...

          Locals are swathingspraying and combining.
The super farmers have multiple combines, dryers and plenty of trucks and men. The biggest farm runs over 50X more land than I do. They have never left a crop out over winter.

The large guys arround here appear to have twice as much machinery as last year. I am thinking the last years machinery did not get sold. Makes purchases interesting. Klause you may just have a full new line almost new next or the next year after that.

Everyone I talk to is holding off any machinery purchases. Dealers will start hurting this winter I expect.
