Will be interesting if can hold weeds down with edge lontrel muster gold like we used to. Was a challenge. Switching to rr and liberty was so convenient and fields became clean. Polish grows fast should help.

Interesting option, great pictures Klause.
If you get information of the yield or a cost comparison with RR after harvest let us know. This is a variety I would be interested in trying.
Pros:
70 day maturity
Lower nitrogen cost
Cheaper seed, less than half price
Can market as non-GMO
Cons:
Higher herbicide costs vs RR
Weed control?
Not blackleg resistant
Not treated for flea beetles

Will do.... it was swathed today.
The D3553 seeded 12 days earlier next to it will be swathed in a week or so. will have real good yield results after that (direct to elevator weigh slips).
Flea beetles aren't really a concern. We've had polish canola before... they will attack treated argentine long before they ever go into a polish field. The hairy nature of the plants keeps them off.
Herbicide cost is $15/ac if you only use Assure II and Muster.
You can swap out the Muster for Lontrel and it would b e18 bucks, but give you good control of all thistle type plants, and dandelions.
If cleavers are a problem, clever can be added for another 10 bucks an acre.
