I don't think their original intent was to make the machine look pretty by hiding all the "dangerous
moving parts". Safety first, inconvenient as it may be at times. t

I was at the local dealer at 7:45 am and asked where everyone was. They were told not to start until 8. I guess the BTOs are close to done so the rest of us are just a pita.

BTW they way some things go together it's little wonder things fail. Anyone blow a discharge beater bearing on a sts combine - look at the flange and bearing position for the grease. Replaced one this weekend and the only grease it will get is what it comes with. It can't get grease the way it's set up. Idiotic. And responsible for a few fires for sure.

You know it's bad when the mechanics at redhead equipment tell you how shitty their parts departments are. They can't do **** all because they have to order everything. That's coming from the techs!!!!!!!

Western Sales JD in Davidson is very good. Don't open till 8 on weekends but usually there by 7:30. Parts people on call after hours
Service manager I'm sure has cot in the back.

Usually have a combine to pull parts off rather than wait

Have to remember that these people don't get many days off and during the rainy days that we may lay up, they get swamped.

Reminded of a quote. "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting an epic battle"

See gust that's the problem. They keep a combine for parts. Anyone with half a brain would look at the sales and determine what should be stocked.

It's not your new machines that need much service if it's pdi properly.

It's the machines you traded in a few years ago that are going to need parts and service.

The parts guys sure need a break but when they send boxes of parts back every year but keep 10 million in spare combines so if they sell it it can't be ready.
